Description of Yosemite National Park Two Day Tour
Travel to the Yosemite National Park through San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge to Central Valley where you will enjoy a your break round 8:30 AM. Afterward, you will travel east through the spectacular Sierra Nevada High Country. Our Tour guide will either start the Yosemite Adventure with a sightseeing tour to the Yosemite Valley or travel directly to the majestic Mariposa Grove.
The stunning Mariposa Grove is home to splendid Sequoiadendron giganteum, known as the Giant Sequoias. The Giant Sequoias are the largest living things on earth! Mariposa Grove is not available on the Yosemite one day tour. This Grove of Giant Sequoias will offer your best hike ever to capture Giant Trees including the Grizzly Giant, the largest Sequoia tree in Mariposa Grove . This Sequoia’s estimated age is 2,700 years old making it one of the oldest living Sequoias.
After this stunning hike to the Sequoias, you will enjoy your lunch break and then embark on a breathtaking expedition to the Spectacular Glacier Point.

After your adventure to Glacier Point, you will be escorted to your hotel located in the Yosemite Valley by the Yosemite waterfalls or to a small hotel located by the Merced River. The hotel location will depend on your choice and budget. The Yosemite Valley hotels are usually sold out 6 to 8 months a head of time.

Our Yosemite Tour Guides’ Tips for Hikers in the Yosemite National Park:
- Hiking shoes, sun Protection ( & eventually a bug spray).
- For Yosemite 2 Day Tour Travelers & due to the limited luggage compartment in our vehicles, we highly recommend a small overnight bag. Most of San Francisco hotels provide storage rooms where you can leave your suitcases at the Concierge desk during your trip to the Yosemite.
- Also, Have some warm Layers for cool summer’s nights & raincoat
- Due to the elevation & challenging hiking trails, we recommend drinking lots of Water.
- For all travelers who are subject to motion sickness, we recommend taking anti-motion sickness and anti-vertigo drugs so others can you enjoy their trips without constant interruptions! Please consult your doctor.

The Hotel location will be determined based on availabilities and rates. Some hotels are booked up several months in advance and double their rates during the peak season ( April to October) and holidays. We don't work on commission and don't make any profits when you have small group tour of 14 rooms or less. We book your hotel and take care of the required details as part of our customer service. We will do our best to ensure you will check-in and out on time and enjoy your room and privacy. However, we are not responsible for any accident, injury or the outcome when you stay at these hotels. We don't own these properties as they are individually owned and operate according to their own policy and terms. You may want to lower your expectations when you book a hotel in the mountains, far away from the city and its extravagancy and elegance so you do not get disappointed. You can however upgrade to fancy hotels like the Ahwahnee where basic suites may go for $1200.00 or more per night!

9:30 AM - 10:30 AMDrive to Yosemite through the Sierra Nevada

You will travel through the Gold Country where important gold mining historic towns still standing including the historic Chinese Camp . Your tour guide may offer you an optional photo stop at the beautiful Don Pedro Lake on the way to the Yosemite Park. Don Pedro Lake is actually a manmade lake. The lake offers about 160 miles of shoreline, sandy beaches, house boats rental & water-skiing, jet skiing and windsurfing activities.

10:30 AM - 12:00 PMThe Sierra Nevada Natural wonders
Our Yosemite tour continues on State highway 120 through the Sierra Nevada high country . Capture the scenic views along the road to the Yosemite ,By 10 or 10 :30 AM, you will get into the Yosemite National Park from the western or the southern entrance. The Tour guide will either start or end your Yosemite tour in the Yosemite Valley. This will depend on the weather & road conditions. The fact we run small group tour s and private 4X4 SUV tours to the Yosemite, that leaves us more flexibility and time to see more and explore more.
You will start now enjoying beautiful views . 12:00 PM - 12:30 PMThe Yosemite Valley
Your are now in the Yosemite Valley. The Yosemite Valley is only 1% only of the Yosemite National Park, yet , the Yosemite Valley is the largest concentration of natural wonders in North America! The Valley V shape has been deeply carved into a U shape valley in the course of the Yosemite geological evolution , creating deep valleys and hanging cliffs! Half Dome & El Capitan still witness this Ice Age responsible for most of these touring cliffs and steep canyons!

In the afternoon, your tour guide will escort you on a discovery hike to sightseeing Yosemite best waterfalls. These hidden falls can’t be seen from the Yosemite valley and not available on the Yosemite One Day Tour. Other options and sightseeing tours will also be available. You may also visit mirror Lake (recommended before May), hike to Half Dome(longer hike and very challenging)or hike within the Yosemite Valley Floor along the Merced river and Yosemite falls.

10:00 AM – Noon Travel To Glacier Point-Yosemite Best View Point
Our Yosemite Tour will now take you through Yosemite the scenic back roads to visit & sightseeing Glacier Point majestic & panoramic views. This view point is the most spectacular vista point in the whole Yosemite National Park! Please note that Glacier Point may be closed from November through May or June , due Heavy Snow. Our Tour guide has always an alternative discovery tour to suggest when Glacier Point is closed.
12:00 PM Lunch break

1:30 PM - 4:00 PM Mariposa Grove: Home of the Giant Sequoias
